Hey guys!!

I’m sure that you all remember my raving about Chemical Burn when I first read it back in August of 2015 (and for the rest of 2015, because it’s awesome!).

{here’s the link, if you missed it: https://thenovelgirlreads.com/2015/08/05/chemical-burn-justin-case-book-1}

Mr. Allen announced today that he has a deal going on it now! KU users, you can get it free! Everyone else, there’s been a price drop to $3.99! (I’m pretty sure that I also heard rumor of the sequel that I’ve been dying for being worked on, so…). Go, buy, read!!

Always,

Goodbye 2015!

Hi Everyone!

I can’t believe that it is already the last day of 2015! It seems that this year has passed by so quickly. It was a very busy and exciting year for me. It has also been a year filled with some amazing reading! I had a little bit of a tough time deciding what my best book of the year was, but I just kept going back to a book that was sent to me to review in May. I happened upon a post asking for reviewers when I very first started my blog, and I decided to give this author a try on a whim: I am incredibly thankful that I did! Not only is the first of two books that I have reviewed for him this year my favorite book of the year, he is my favorite new author of the year:

Chemical Burn by Quincy J. Allen

This novel is a Sci-Fi Thriller, and it is awesome! I still think about it, and I am really hoping for more in this series! Mr. Allen is a cross-genre author, and he does it flawlessly. His other novel, Blood Ties (you can find my full initial reviews for both of these on the blog) is a steampunk/western. It never seems forced when he crosses the genre barriers, the words and stories flow beautifully. I cannot wait to read more from this author. If you like sci-fi, you really should check this novel out. I hope that you will fall in love with his writing, as I have.

Thank you all, again, for indulging me and keeping me going on this blog. I hope that you all have a wonderful and safe New Year’s Eve!! As always, thanks for reading.

Just A Little August Update

Hi Everyone!

I just wanted to say hi and give you guys a little update on my reading for the year, so far. I have already exceeded my reading goal for the year, granted a good bit of that was re-reading series that I read again every year (*cough* Harry Potter *cough*), but still! A lot of that has been due to this blog, so I thank you for keeping me going. It has been a bit stressful, with having to change blog sites, and only being able to recover so many reviews, but overall it has been a lot of fun. There are still a lot of books to be read this year, and a lot of reviews to be written, so thanks for hanging with me and making me at least somewhat relevant. 🙂

So far, my best book of the year is still Chemical Burn by Quincy J. Allen. That review was, thankfully, one that I was able to recover, so it is on the site. It was amazing, and I am so glad that I was privileged enough to be chosen to review it for him. If you are a sci-fi fan, you have to read it! I still think about it after all of this time, and I need more of it in my life… I’m looking at you Mr. Allen! Here’s the cover again, so that you can find it:

Thanks again for following the blog! Love you guys!!
