Ok, my dear readers, I know that some of you will most likely strongly disagree with me, but this novel was not awesome for me. I’m not sure exactly what it was. The story line was good. The writing was good, as well. It just kind of drug on for me. The pace just didn’t pick up, in my opinion. It certainly wasn’t a bad book, I just had some trouble really getting in to it. The author did an amazing job with the imagery in this book. It was riveting! The characters were just a bit…one dimensional may be the best word. There were some interesting characters, but it wasn’t the protagonists. The dialog between Celia and Marco was certainly nothing to write home about, for the most part, and I really couldn’t get in to them. I did like the ending, though. It seems like the right way to end it. Overall, I would say that it was an ok novel. It wasn’t what I was expecting, but it was ok. Again, this is just my opinion. There are many reviews out there that proclaim that this is one of the best novels of the year, it just wasn’t for me.
