The last installment of this wonderful series begins with our favorite dhampir, Rose, locked up while she is awaiting her trial for the queen’s murder. While dealing with the stress of her own situation, Rose must also find a way to deal with the information that was given to her in the queen’s final note: Lissa has a sibling. There is another Dragomir! To complicate things even more, she has two amazing men in her life, and she loves them both. What’s a girl to do? It turns out, it’s not all up to her. All of the people in her life band together to save Rose, and figure out who was actually responsible for the murder before it’s too late.
In the end, Rose does make a choice between the two men in her life. I was honestly rooting for both of them, but I am very happy with her choice. I won’t ruin that for you, dear reader; you can find out that one on your own! Mead does an awesome job of rounding out this series in this novel. I was very happy with the way that it ended, and I am sad that it’s over. I would have loved to have seen how things progressed once all of the plot lines were figured out. I hope that you enjoy it as much as I did!
