I’m so sorry that I have been absent for a while. I’ve been fighting quite a bit of pain (migraines & severe back pain thanks to previous surgery & ongoing issues), so I haven’t been my usual self. I think I’m starting to feel back to normal. At least the migraine is gone for now! So I should be back to posting as normal this week. You’re all awesome, & thanks for sticking with me!!

Hey guys!! 

I’m going to be doing the 24in48 readathon (read 24 hours out of 48) on 7/23-7/24. I have decided that I am going to do this one for charity. I will donate $0.05 per page read to The Colon Cancer Alliance, in memory of my daddy & my brother. This should be fun, and hopefully I will be able to give back to the people who helped my dad during his treatment. I’ll keep you all updated throughout the 48 hours!!

Update: My wonderfully supportive mom & step-dad (Lorraine Sizemore & Frank Sizemore) have offered to match my pledge! We’re going to make some $ for the CCA!!

Things have been a little crazy, with getting back from vacation & trying to get things settled to go back to “real life”, & I didn’t get around to posting this earlier. On Sunday, I was lucky enough to celebrate 12 years of marriage with the love of my life. We have had some really hard times over the last 12 years, but we have always seen each other through them. We are also incredibly lucky to have the wonderful life that we have together, and I cannot imagine going through this life with anyone else by my side. “He’s more myself than I am. Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same.”.

Sorry I’ve been MIA, but I didn’t realize that I would literally no cell signal or internet at all while I was vacationing. Honestly, it was nice to not have to worry about phone calls & emails, but I did hope that I would be able to update you all while I was away. Vacation/Anniversary trip was awesome, but I didn’t get nearly the reading done that I planned. I spent every day of it hiking in the beautiful Rockies, and enjoying being away from the heat for a while! I’m back though, and it’s back to my normal routine. I hope you enjoy what I have posted so far, and I plan to have more for you soon! I hope your week is going well, and as always, thank for reading!!
